A subtle dialogue of style, geography and colour b

A subtle dialogue of style, geography and colour brings together the honeyed tones of a Neoclassical console table and the dazzling chromatic richness of three rare and precious pietra dura panels.

The luminous purity of the marble Portrait of Orazio Carlo Pucci casts its light across the installation, completing a narrative that unfolds through three centuries of Florentine history, artistry and connoisseurship.

At our BIAF stand, devoted to Florence, further masterpieces of sculpture await discovery.

For the 34th edition of BIAF, we present a marble

For the 34th edition of BIAF, we present a marble portrait of Orazio Carlo Pucci, carved in Rome in 1824 by Francesco Pozzi, a fascinating sculptor poised between the Canovian tradition and Bartolini’s naturalism.
Another tribute to Florence: to one of its sculptors and to one of the city’s distinguished citizens.
